DEBRA REGUR
OWNER/PUBLICIST
With more than fourteen years of experience as Director of Publicity at Blind Pig Records, Regur has developed extensive professional relationships and helped many artists advance their careers. She has a track record of increasing fan bases while bringing greater recognition and critical accolades well beyond the usual outlets for roots music. Her efforts have resulted in features and reviews of artists in national media outlets such as National Public Radio and the Washington Post, New York Times, and in regional and specialty publications. Regur also provides invaluable tour support by publicizing local shows and appearances.
Regur was born into a family that gave her exposure to music promotion since childhood. Her father owned a Jazz and Blues record store in the San Antonio, TX area, which she managed for several years. "My father sat me on top of a stereo speaker as a baby, and the music has been a part of me ever since,” Regur says. “Since then I've been surrounded by music at all levels, and I've been blessed to have the chance to combine my love of it with my ability to help artists get the most exposure possible." She currently resides in San Francisco where she provides freelance PR/Publicity services to an array of artists from a diversity of music genres. |
